Who we are
Iron Condor Options is an educational mobile app published by Tortato. We do not run our own backend or user accounts. Contact: [email protected].
Data we collect
We collect the minimum needed to keep the app running and to measure usage in aggregate. We do not ask for your name, email, phone, address, or financial information.
- Crash diagnostics via Firebase Crashlytics: stack traces, device model, OS version, app version. No personal identifiers.
- Usage analytics via Firebase Analytics: screen views and product events (lesson started, lesson completed, quiz taken, strategy opened, simulator used). Aggregated.
- Advertising identifiers via Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): a device advertising ID is used to serve ads. On iOS this is governed by the App Tracking Transparency prompt; on Android by the system Ads setting.
- Push notification token via Firebase Cloud Messaging: stored so future campaigns can reach the device. We do not currently send marketing pushes.
- Ticker lookups in the simulator: when you request a live options chain for a ticker, that ticker symbol and your device IP address are sent to Yahoo Finance public endpoints to retrieve a delayed chain. We do not attach your identity to that request. This is optional; the simulator works without it using typical volatility values.
- Local progress and saved positions: stored on your device only. Cleared if you uninstall the app or use Reset progress in Settings.
Third parties
We use the following services. Their own privacy policies govern any data they process.
- Google Firebase (Crashlytics, Analytics, Cloud Messaging, Remote Config).
- Google AdMob (advertising).
- Google Play Billing (Android) and Apple In-App Purchase (iOS) for the optional Remove Ads purchase.
- Yahoo Finance, when you request a live options chain by ticker in the simulator.
Children
The app is rated for users 18 and older and is not directed at children.
Ad consent (EU users)
When the app launches in a region that requires it, a consent form from Google's User Messaging Platform asks whether personalized ads can be served. You can change that choice later through the app settings on Android or via the system tracking permission on iOS.
Your rights
You may delete all local data using Reset progress in Settings or by uninstalling the app. To request deletion of analytics data tied to a specific device, contact us and include the device advertising ID; we will forward the request to Google.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that materially affects what data is collected or who it is shared with, we will update the date above and reflect the change in the next app update.
